Why 65 Roses?
A Tournament With A Cause
Kevin and Sarah Logan created Salty Jeans, the hosting organization for the 65 Roses Invitational, in honor of their daughter, Olivia, who was born with cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis, or CF for short, is a chronic, progressive, and frequently fatal genetic disease affecting close to 40,000 adults and children in the United States.
Through Salty Jeans, they raise awareness and vital funds through hosting and participating in annual events locally, regionally and nationally. These funds are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and go towards research, preclinical drug development, and high-quality, specialized care and ultimately finding a cure for all people with CF.
They named the tournament the 65 Roses Invitational in reference to a common nickname for cystic fibrosis. It was adopted back in 1965 when a young boy living with the disease tried pronouncing cystic fibrosis and quickly became an easy way for young children to communicate about their disease.
Glad I got to be apart of such a special event. Can’t wait for the next one!!

A Look Back At The Beginning
2022 Inaugural Tournament
It all started in 2017 with the birth of our daughter, Olivia, who was born with cystic fibrosis. As we spent the first couple years processing what that meant for our newly formed family and digesting all the information that comes with a rare disease, we started to want to spread awareness and raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their journey to a cure.
In 2022, our dreams of hosting a basketball tournament came true as we hosted the inaugural tournament and were able to donate over $1500 to the foundation.
